Our plant has achieved the Zero Avoidable Waste to Landfill certification – the result of our long-term effort to minimise our environmental impact.
We are proud to announce that our company has reached an important milestone – the Zero Avoidable Waste to Landfill certification. It confirms our long-term effort to minimise our negative impact on the environment and to run sustainable production processes.
Since opening in 2007 we have focused on recycling and remanufacturing toner cartridges. We have remanufactured more than 18 million cartridges so far, reusing up to 80% of the original material. The rest is recycled and used to make other Brother products, contributing to the circular economy.
Besides eliminating waste to landfill, we have also achieved carbon neutrality. Solar panels and a geothermal heat pump have cut our CO₂ emissions by up to 48%.
Our success proves that environmental innovation is not only possible but necessary. We hope this milestone will inspire other companies to join initiatives that protect our planet.
